Java Developer (EEA)
Develop and maintain backend microservices using state-of-the-art big data technologies. Our project is a real-time, multi-vendor, cross-domain, Big Data analytics solution tailored for telecom.
What you will need to do in the role, and we will help you to do it:
- Develop backend microservices that deliver Telecom Insights
- Be an owner of the implemented functionality: from design and implementation through verification to production troubleshooting
- Work closely together with the design team members and other teams in the organization
- Be responsible for typical activities including installation, integration, and configuration of the tools along with developing reusable code, frameworks, unit and solution integration tests, and lifecycle management artifacts
- Deploy and Configure the services under development
- Strive for continuous improvement and build continuous integration, continuous development, and continuous deployment pipeline (CI / CD Pipeline)
- Prepare Internal & customer acceptance test plans and handover to the customer
- Drive improvements by coming up with new insights related to our products and processes
- Provide feedback to product development and write trouble reports
- Create microservice images and Helm charts
What skills and experience are essential for the position?
- Solid experience with Java (3+ years) and Spring
- Solid experience in software development methodologies, ability to deliver a feature end-to-end
- Experience in Containers and Container management and application management: e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, Helm
- Experience in data model design
- Understanding Continuous Integration (git, Jenkins, Spinnaker)
- Understanding of data analytics methodologies
- Experience in shell scripting and Linux
- Experience in real-time, streaming processing technologies (Kafka, Spark Streaming, etc.)
- Experience with artifact repository and static code analysis: Artifactory, SonarQube
- Experience working in a collaborative environment using agile methodology
- Fluent English skills
If you have experience in one of these it is a plus:
- Experience in Scala or a strong willingness to learn
