Senior Embedded Software Engineer
About the project:
Our team creates technologies for the Telecommunications, Networking, Cloud and Automotive Markets. Our portfolio includes SSR (Smart Service Router), Line card, storage systems, Network switches, Autonomous Drive Assistant Systems and Manufacturing Product Introduction services as Test platform and Test equipment development for production sites.
What you will need to do in the role, and we will help you to do it:
- Be part of our highly skilled Software Design team
- Ensure operations of our partner’s smart services platform and make millions of subscribers happy with their data plans
- Work with state-of-the-art technologies in the telecommunication/server industry, including latest x86 platforms, SSD storage, DDR memory etc.
- Translate high level engineering requirements into implementation
- Solve tricky engineering problems in the field of: x86 based server platforms, Network Processing Units, Packet Switched networks
- Develop new processes/tools which will make our work more efficient
- Create and update corresponding design documentation
What skills and experience are essential for the position?
- Several years of experience in software design
- C language knowledge
- Scripting language knowledge (Python,Tcl, Bash, Perl, Expect)
- User level Linux knowledge
- Debug techniques in embedded systems
- Familiar with one or more of the following areas: functional testing in hardware level, negative testing in hardware level, fault analysis of complex systems, board bring-up
If you have experience in one of these it is a plus:
- Experience in software design for Linux
- Experience with x86 based Board Management Controller implementations
- Knowledge of packet switched networks
- Experience with git version control system
- Experience with test automation and hardware testing
- Kernel / driver level Linux knowledge
- Experience in lab work with oscilloscope, logic analyser
- ISTQB Certificate
