A comprehensive commitment to health care is something that is extremely important to Qualysoft. As part of its corporate social responsibility, the company has been supporting the Austrian Red Cross for many years and has also successfully completed several projects in conjunction with the regional division of the organization in Lower Austria.
Since the end of 2011, the company has been supporting the fleet of ambulances operated bythe Austrian Red Cross. Several vehicles in the town of Bruck an der Leitha now bear the Qualysoft logo and have been blessed by Cardinal Christoph Schönborn, Archbishop of Vienna.
"The 3-53/12 ambulance, which we affectionately refer to as "number 12" has really proven its worth since it was put into service at the end of 2011. Its main purpose is to take people to scheduled outpatient appointments and to transport patients to and from their chemotherapy or dialysis sessions. In addition to these scheduled journeys, the vehicle is – of course – also used as part of regular responses to emergencies. With its high-quality medical equipment and comfort features, the vehicle is very popular with patients as well as the highly experienced paramedics that travel on board, particularly in the case of long journeys. We are extremely grateful to the Qualysoft Group for this major contribution!", enthuses Florian Schodritz, M.Sc., a paramedic and public relations officer with the Red Cross.

Another joint project involved designing an innovative microsite for the Red Cross, the result of which was the "First Aid Map". The aim here was to raise awareness among the general population and encourage a greater readiness to provide first aid. The "First Aid Map" is an app that has been developed in-house by Qualysoft. It can be used to locate the nearest defibrillator and get help as quickly as possible in an emergency. To pinpoint the location exactly, the map relies on Assisted GPS technology.
As part of this campaign, the various municipalities were ranked according to their performance. The township of Tulln came top with the highest number of first-aid interventions.

The most recent project consisted of developing a website and a Facebook page for "Kinderburg Rappottenstein", an institution that is located inside an old castle and which is run by the Red Cross. This facility enables people who are grieving to come to terms with the loss of a family member in a calm and peaceful environment. Qualified social workers are on hand to assist the families, who are free to follow an individualized grief therapy program lasting several weeks. The new and modern homepage is intended to raise the profile of the castle.
